How to Join Us

Volunteers can join "At Your Service" at any point of the year, but they are encouraged to join as early as possible since the onboarding between submitting the volunteering application, getting clearance, and completing both virtual and in-person trainings can take 2-3 months.

You Will Need Proof Of: 

  • A physical exam within the last year.
  • Tuberculosis testing.
  • Two Varicella vaccinations or blood titer showing immunity.
  • Two Measles vaccinations or blood titer showing immunity.
  • One Rubella vaccination or blood titer showing immunity.
  • One Mumps vaccination or blood titer showing immunity.
  • Current season's Influenza vaccination (recommended)
  • All required doses of an FDA approved or emergency approved COVID-19 vaccine

If you are a Columbia student, you can obtain all the above documentation from Columbia Health. You will just need to make an appointment with any provider (visit this link and click ‘Patient Portal’), print out and provide a physical copy of the above volunteering application, and they can help provide you with the documents and any additional tests needed. We recommend double checking with your insurance policy to ensure any visits to Columbia Health are covered.
